Having a B1 level means that you can communicate in Spanish with some autonomy. You no longer depend only on basic phrases: you can explain experiences, talk about your interests, describe situations, and express simple opinions. A person with a B1 level can manage in many situations while traveling, understand conversations about familiar topics, and write simple, coherent texts.
This level marks the step toward more independent language use. Mistakes may still occur, but they usually do not prevent communication.
The B1 level is part of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which organizes language learning into six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2.
