What do you need to know before starting your path to a Spanish university?

It's very important that you know that to access university studies in Spain, you need to meet certain requirements.

  1. Spanish language. You will need at least a minimum B2 level of Spanish. Some universities require a certificate to prove it (for example, SIELE).
  2. Getting into university. You will need to obtain a valid score to gain access to the degree program at the university you have chosen. This score or grade will be obtained through the PCE exams organized by UNEDasiss. These exams will assess your knowledge in different subjects. The days these tests will be held are between May and September, so preparations are geared towards those dates.
  3. Documentation. Depending on the country where you obtained your secondary/high school qualification, you will need to have your academic documents recognized, certified, translated, or authenticated. Additionally, you will need to register for the PCE during the indicated dates.

Why do many international students not manage to get into university in Spain?

Every year, many students want to start their studies at a Spanish university, but they encounter obstacles that make the process difficult from the outset.

  • They do not have the necessary academic Spanish level.
  • They don't know how to properly prepare the PCE.
  • They study Spanish without real guidance toward university admission.
  • They waste time and energy by dividing their preparation among different academies.

The result is usually the same: More doubts, more delays, and less security on the path to university.

At PCE Spanish School, we've designed specific training for international students who want to access Spanish universities with clearer, more structured, and effective preparation. It doesn't matter where you're starting from. We help you prepare for your Spanish language skills and the PCE exam in a coordinated way. Because the PCE isn't just an exam: Spanish is also key to understanding content, following classes, and navigating university with confidence.
